About Dr. YONAS GIRMA
Yonas earned his LLB degree from Hawassa University, LLM from Addis Ababa University, and a Ph.D. in public laws from Selcuk University. He has completed intensive international training on various legal issues in Switzerland and Belgium. He has over 12 years of experience in academic, legal service, research, and Consultancy. He has served as a lecturer of law at Dilla University at different times from 2009-to 2017. He has worked as a federal public prosecutor (2009), a legislative researcher at the House of Peoples’ Representative (2013), and consultant of the Judicial Reform and Mediation Coordinator at the Federal Supreme Court through the UNDP contract (2019-2021). He works as an attorney and consultant at law since April 2014. As an attorney, Yonas has advised his clients on different legal issues. Yonas has drafted the Federal Courts Proclamation 1234/2021 and the Judicial administrations’ Proclamation 1233/2021. He has also drafted various regulations and directives.
