About Abdi Temam

Abdi earned his bachelor’s degree (LLB) from Dilla University and master’s degree (LLM) from Arba Minch University. He has been teaching different law courses undergraduate students at Arba Minch University. Later on, he joined a private law firm as an associate. Abdi has extensive experience in areas of Employment, Immigration and NGO Practice. He has advised clients by drafting and reviewing different contracts. 

Selected Experiences

• Advising clients on several legal compliance matters especially on employment and immigration matters; 

• Representing clients in various employment-related matters; 

• Conducted thorough legal research, drafted pleadings, and engaged in settlement negotiations, resulting in favorable outcomes for clients; 

• Advising clients to develop and implement employment policies that comply with Ethiopian laws;

• Developing, reviewing and drafting employment contracts, separation agreements, consultancy contracts and non-disclosure agreements for different companies and foundations;

• Representing clients in collective bargaining as negotiator and legal advisor between trade unions and employers; 

• Undertaking due diligence reports for big corporates, NGOs and Public Private Institutions in big transactions;

• Supporting and advising individuals, companies and foundations in immigration matters including processing of visa, work and residence permits; 

• Coordinating different Pro-bono projects and serving as focal person for different Pro- bono services for different Clients; 

• Teaching different law courses for undergraduate law students.
